News - Current Contracts

March 2008

The main school section was handed over in December 2007. The daycare centre is due for completion in April 2008. Work in progress includes the demolition of the old school which will enable a new car park area to be formed adjacent to the main entrance. Headmaster Paul Hughes is delighted with the new facilities - and staff and pupils are looking forward to enjoying well-funded modern facilities.

The current priority is to recycle as much of the demolition material as is practicable. Internal fixtures and fittings have been carefully removed and taken into store by PCC for reuse. The roof tiles will be re-used on a buidling in Narberth. Timber will be shredded by TBS at Waterston for re-use as cattle bedding. Masonary and concrete will be crushed and re-used as hardcore.

Site Managers are David Tannahill and Andrew Thomas.
